MS2S Synchronous Servomotors

MS2S Synchronous Servomotors are three-phase permanent-magnet servo motors built for industrial machinery that uses compatible Rexroth drive controllers, not direct mains operation. The series uses IC410 self-cooling and is rated for 0 to 40 °C ambient operation, with derating permitted up to 60 °C and installation altitudes up to 1,000 m without derating. Its fully enclosed IP65 design includes a shaft sealing ring, a flange interface similar to DIN 42948, and a cylindrical shaft end to DIN 748-3 with defined runout and concentricity tolerances for repeatable mechanical installation. Feedback is handled through the ctrlX SENSE motor encoder system, which uses a digital magnetic 18-bit multiturn encoder for absolute indirect position detection across 65,536 motor revolutions, while motor-temperature information is transmitted digitally for protection functions. Electrical connection is simplified through a rotatable quick-lock M17 single-cable connector, and selected versions can be equipped with an electrically released 24 VDC holding brake with Eco mode energy reduction after release.
