Heat is removed through Natural convection, so no external fan or liquid circuit is required. The feedback system communicates over the Hiperface protocol, and its sensing element is Capacitive, giving immunity to dust and magnetic fields. Rotor position is resolved into 16 signal periods, allowing fine interpolation inside the drive controller. For static holding or emergency stops, an electrically released brake supplies 23 Nm of torque to lock the shaft without power. Together, these features simplify cabinet design, shorten commissioning time, and maintain accurate servo loops during thermal changes.
The encoder stores multi-turn data, identified as Multiturn Absolute, so absolute position is preserved after power loss and homing cycles are avoided. Mechanical power is transferred through a Shaft with keyway, enabling standard keyed couplings for belts, gearheads, or clutches. Service access is flexible because the encoder connector can rotate through 240°, reducing cable strain in compact machines. Electrical characteristics are defined by winding code 0300, which aligns the motor’s impedance and back-EMF profile with designated IndraDrive amplifiers, completing the matched servo package.
