The Bosch Rexroth R911321788 (MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-BP1-NNNN) is a synchronous servo motor that forms part of a closed-loop control system in tandem with a drive controller. The controller determines the motor's speed, torque, and position, and adjusts its output based on feedback to align with the pre-set values. The motor is equipped with an optical multiturn absolute encoder that supports Hiperface, a motor feedback protocol specifically designed for digital drives. Hiperface combines absolute position information and incremental position and speed feedback through one eight-wire cable. The motor's output shaft features a keyway to prevent relative motion with the connected machine, and a shaft seal. Additionally, the motor has a 32 Nm holding torque holding brake. While the motor uses natural convection for cooling, it can also accommodate a radial or axial cooling fan for surface cooling.
