VAM Machine Operator Panels

IndraControl VAM Machine Operator Panels are Bosch Rexroth control panels used for operating CNC machine control units on equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and machining centers. The VAM series is built for manual machine operation and mode selection, combining several operator-control elements in one panel. Hardware features can include configurable keypads with LED indicators, feed and spindle override rotary switches, machine pushbuttons, an E-STOP button, and a key switch for authorization-based access. VAM 40.2 versions can also be equipped with a handwheel module for manual axis control. Communication is handled through PROFIBUS DP, with input states sent to the master controller and output commands received from the master. The panels operate from 24 VDC PELV supplies and use separate galvanically isolated logic and I/O supplies. Standard I/O includes 16 digital 24 V inputs and 8 digital 24 V outputs with status indication. For industrial installation, the series provides IP54 front protection and NEMA Type 1 suitability, with defined requirements for mounting, wiring, grounding, and EMC-compliant cabinet integration.
