NAM Power Line Form Modules are cabinet-mounted power-on modules used in RD500 SFT drive systems to control the connection between the main power section and the three-phase mains supply. The NAM series handles DC-link capacitor precharging for the connected power section and includes the main contactor used to disconnect the power section from mains voltage. Control interfaces allow the module to coordinate with the controller, while dedicated feedback signals report conditions such as Safe-OFF status, contactor ON, and circuit breaker ON. Selected versions also include mains-voltage detection for synchronization tasks in forward and reverse feed applications. A safe power termination function disables contactor and precharge power when the required bridge is removed, adding a defined shutdown path for the power connection. The modules are designed for 3 AC 380–480 V, 50/60 Hz operation and support high-current power sections in the hundreds-of-amps range. For installation, the series is intended for industrial control cabinets with specified requirements for temperature, wiring cross-sections, and mounting clearances.
