The R911170704 (PST625-EW) AC welding transformer controller from Rexroth Bosch features a water-cooled, compact construction with an integrated thyristor power unit and weld timer for complete welding sequence management. This unit is approximately 60% lighter and smaller compared to previous models and includes a parallel I/O field with configurable functions for manual or automated welding applications. Designed for a nominal transformer power of 155 kVA at 400 VAC, it supports 50% and 80% duty cycles and delivers a maximum output current of 400 A at a 30% duty cycle. The controller substitutes external connectors and sensors with a built-in primary current control unit and incorporates an optional slot for Ethernet Fieldbus integration. Key technical details include air blower cooling, nominal system current of 200 A, integrated timer, and a 24 V DC voltage supply.
