Indramat TVM Power Supply Modules are used in modular AC drive systems to supply the shared DC bus and control voltages required by connected drive axes. The TVM series converts a three-phase mains input, typically 220/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz, into a stabilized 300 VDC link for servo operation. This common DC bus allows multiple axis modules to operate from a single supply source. Built-in buffer capacitance supports stable drive performance, while regenerated braking energy is managed through an integrated bleeder resistor circuit. Additional expansion options can be used when the system requires greater DC-bus capacitance or increased braking energy capacity. Power distribution, status signals, and monitoring functions are coordinated through the system ribbon connection, including a readiness contact for enable and fault handling. For cabinet installation, TVM modules require proper spacing and must be operated within defined environmental limits, with a standard ambient range of +5 to +45 °C and derated operation possible up to +55 °C.
