VAU Uninterruptable Power Supplies

Bosch Rexroth VAU Uninterruptible Power Supplies are DC-UPS modules used to maintain 24 VDC control power during short interruptions in the main 24 V supply. The VAU series is commonly used with IndraControl panel PCs and control-cabinet PCs that need enough backup power to ride through brief supply failures or complete a controlled shutdown. During normal operation, the unit receives a 24 VDC input within its specified tolerance range and supplies the connected load from that source. If the main input drops out, the VAU switches to its internal energy storage in less than a millisecond, allowing the output to remain available without a noticeable interruption. Depending on the version, output capacity may support 240 W class loads up to 10 A or PC-buffering loads around 72 W up to 3 A, with the available bridging time depending on charge level and load demand. Communication with the connected PC allows shutdown timing to be managed through an adjustable delay, followed by output disconnection after the buffer period ends. For industrial cabinet use, the units include defined ambient operating limits, EMC class-A behavior, front-panel status diagnostics, and service functions such as reset capability for dropping output power and restarting the connected PC.
