VT-NE30-23

The VT-NE30-23 is a compact power supply unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-NE Power Supply Units series, with sub-designation 23. Designed as a unipolar converter, it provides conditioned direct current to control cards, proportional valves, and other automation loads that require a stable low-voltage rail. Its single filtered output reduces conducted electrical noise, while the 3.1 kg enclosure fits in industrial cabinets where available space and supported mass are limited. The compact housing is suitable for installation on compatible DIN rails or backplanes.

The unit accepts an input of 230 VAC ±10% and can also be switched to 115 VAC ±10%, allowing operation from either of two common industrial supply levels. At the supply terminals, it accommodates a mains frequency of 50/60 Hz without requiring a frequency converter. Under full load, the regulator delivers a stabilized output of +26 VDC, keeping connected process electronics within their permitted voltage range. The maximum continuous output current is 4 A, supporting control and valve loads connected to the output channel. Cabinet heat-load calculations use a rated power value of 108 W. Line-side disturbances and switching artifacts are suppressed so that residual ripple remains below 5 %, helping prevent unwanted modulation in sensitive analog circuits.

Field wiring connects to screw terminals that accept conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 4 mm², providing suitable capacity for the output channel. External input protection is provided by an 8 A slow-blow fuse, which withstands normal inrush current while isolating the circuit during a sustained fault. The power supply operates at ambient temperatures from -20 to +50 °C, allowing installation in a range of industrial control enclosures. When the unit is not operating, it may be stored at temperatures from -20 to +70 °C without performance loss. Adequate spacing around the enclosure should be maintained so heat can leave the unit during continuous operation, and the selected conductors must remain securely seated in the screw terminals.
