VT-NE30-27

The VT-NE30-27 is a compact, unipolar power supply unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-NE Power Supply Units series and released at hardware level 27. The module occupies a small cabinet footprint and delivers a single filtered DC output rail intended for servo drives, proportional valve cards, and PLC backplanes that need stable, low-noise power in automated equipment. Its role is to convert alternating mains power into regulated direct current so that control circuits maintain consistent performance during machine operation.

The input stage accepts 115/230 VAC ±10% and operates with supplies at 50/60 Hz, permitting installation on either standard North American or European power grids. An internal 8 A slow-blow fuse guards the transformer and rectifier against sustained overloads, opening only when current surges exceed its long-delay characteristic. After conversion and smoothing, the unit provides a regulated output of +26 VDC at full load; this voltage provides suitable headroom for analog electronics operating above standard 24 V logic levels. With a continuous power capacity of 108 W, the device can energize multiple control boards without losing regulation when each board draws its maximum rated current.

Cabling can be connected to spring or screw terminals that accept conductors up to 4 mm², helping minimize resistive loss when the supply is loaded. The downstream circuit may draw up to 4 A continuously, and this current limit determines how many devices can be connected to the rail. Output quality is maintained with residual ripple below 5%, helping protect analog transducers from carrier noise. Mechanical placement is simplified by 4.8 × 9 mm mounting slots that align with common back-panel hole patterns, while the enclosure weight of 3.1 kg makes the assembly easier to handle during installation.
