VT-NE31-14

The VT-NE31-14 is a compact bipolar power supply unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VT-NE Power Supply Units series. Intended for industrial automation racks, it derives regulated DC power from an AC source so that proportional valve cards, sensor amplifiers, and other low-power control boards receive stable energy. Its dual, filtered outputs eliminate the need for external converters and help keep cabinet layouts organized.

The unit accepts a nominal line voltage of 115/230 VAC, allowing selection between two common mains voltage levels. It operates at 50/60 Hz, so no frequency converter is required for either supported line frequency. Internally, a linear regulator provides a positive rail of +24 VDC and a complementary rail of −24 VDC under full-load conditions. Each channel can supply up to 0.25 A, providing 6 W of continuous power per rail for control circuitry. A 0.8 A slow-blow fuse protects the transformer against inrush current and downstream short circuits while preventing nuisance trips during startup. Screw terminals accept conductors as large as 4 mm², allowing the supply to connect directly to common DIN-rail distribution blocks without special adapters.

With no load attached, the regulator provides ±27 VDC, offering additional voltage above the full-load output level. Residual ripple remains below 5 %, helping prevent unwanted signal modulation in connected error amplifiers. The unit weighs 1.1 kg and measures 119.5 mm in height, 84 mm in width, and 70 mm in depth, allowing installation behind shallow panel doors. Both outputs are independently filtered to reduce conducted electrical noise. The internal series identifier 14 associates the module with compatible VT-NE backplane cards used in modular hydraulic control racks.
