VT-NE32-16

The VT-NE32-16 is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the VT-NE Power Supply Units series. The -16 designation identifies its Series 16 revision used in valve-amplifier racks. This compact, unipolar, regulated module provides stabilized DC rails for control cards and hydraulic valve electronics in industrial automation cabinets. By converting alternating current from the mains into filtered outputs, the unit ensures steady logic and actuation voltages even when plant supply conditions fluctuate. Its role is to feed low-voltage loads such as servo drive command boards and proportional valve amplifiers.

The supply accepts an input of 115/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz, allowing operation on either domestic or industrial power grids with a tolerance of ±10%. Internally, an EMI filter and linear regulator produce two isolated outputs. Output 1 can deliver up to 2.5 A at a nominal voltage of +25 VDC, providing 60 W of continuous power to analog cards, pilot solenoids, or relay coils. Residual ripple on this channel stays below 2%, limiting noise introduced into sensitive reference circuits. Output 2 is independently regulated for logic loads that require tighter control.

The second channel provides a stabilized rail of +24 VDC with headroom for PLC inputs and sensor transmitters; it supports up to 1 A and provides 24 W of usable output power. Protection is provided by a 4 A slow-blow fuse installed on the higher-current rail to limit fault energy. Ripple on this rail remains below 50 mVAC, preventing false triggering of logic inputs. Installation is aided by cage clamps that accept conductors up to 4 mm², and the steel housing measures 128 mm high, 101.5 mm deep, and 84 mm wide, allowing it to fit into narrow machine racks. With a mass of 2.2 kg, the unit can be mounted on DIN rail panels without extra supports, keeping the enclosure layout straightforward.
