CLM01.3-X-0-2-FW

The motion controller CLM01.3-X-0-2-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It is intended to coordinate servo axes in automated machinery, issuing position commands, accepting encoder feedback, and handling local I/O tasks that a higher-level PLC may delegate. Mounted on DIN rails or panel plates inside a cabinet, the module provides menu-driven setup through its four-line operator display and manages two independent motion channels for synchronized or standalone positioning duties.

The drive-side interlock is handled by an amplifier enable circuit that can source up to 50 mA, giving sufficient current for most drive logic inputs. An external potentiometer or analog joystick can override programmed speeds through the dedicated supply line rated at +10 VDC. Internal electronics, opto-isolators, and the display are powered from a regulated 24 VDC control supply, so only a low-voltage feeder is required from the cabinet busbar. Motion programs can target up to 2 axes, and command words reach the controller through a front-mounted Phoenix (15 Pin) connector that carries differential step-and-direction signals as well as limit inputs. Parameter uploads and diagnostic logs are handled through the configurable RS-232/422/485 serial interface, allowing direct connection without additional adapters.

Cabling to auxiliary inverters is simplified by a separate Phoenix (8 Pin) port that routes ready and drive-fault lines together with analog velocity references. Incremental or SSI feedback from each axis enters on a shielded DB25 (Female) socket, keeping high-speed encoder signals isolated from power wiring. For mechanical installation, the housing accepts standard 1/4 in mounting bolts, so retrofit into existing panels requires no special hardware. System-level I/O is exposed on male and female DB37 connectors, giving 37 discrete points that can be mapped to limit switches, probe inputs, or valve drivers without external breakout boards.
