The DDS02.1-A050-R/S002 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In multi-axis automation systems it connects to a common 300 V DC bus and processes resolver signals so that commanded torque and velocity stay synchronized with the master motion profile.

Logic and sensor electronics in the basic section draw 150 mA from the −15 V rail, while an identical demand exists on the +15 V rail, and a higher load of 500 mA is taken from the +24 V service supply. The shared DC link operates at 300 VDC, letting several drives tap the same source without individual rectifiers. During acceleration the power stage can deliver up to 50 A of peak current to the attached motor windings, and thermal losses are removed through external air cooling that pulls fresh air from outside the cabinet. Rotor position is returned through resolver feedback, giving absolute angle information without requiring batteries or multiturn encoders. The DDS02.1-A050-R/S002 cabling should be inspected routinely to ensure that it is free of physical faults or damage.

This unit belongs to Line 02 and is identified as Version 1, so its firmware and option card set must match other components built for the same generation.
