The DDS02.2-W100-BE75-02-FW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It functions as a digital AC servo drive that governs torque, speed, and position for Indramat synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated production cells, packaging lines, and material-handling gantries. By converting incoming DC bus power into precisely regulated three-phase output, the unit provides the closed-loop actuation layer between the machine PLC and the electromechanical axis.

Communication with the machine control network is carried on the SERCOS interface, a fiber-optic ring that supports cyclic data transfer with deterministic latency. The power stage is rated for 100 A continuous current, allowing high-demand axes to accelerate without thermal derate. Cooling is managed by Air, from inside control cabinet (internal), so heat is removed by the existing cabinet airflow rather than an external fan module. For position feedback it reads Digital servo feedback, supplying absolute position data with single-cycle accuracy. Drive functionality is activated by firmware ordered separately, permitting the installer to load only the feature set required for the target machine.

In retrofit situations the controller can also interpret Resolver feedback, letting legacy motors share the same motion bus. Inside the DDS Drive Controllers family it belongs to Line 02, and the hardware is released in Version 2 form, which defines component layout and gate driver revisions for this generation. These identifiers simplify spare-part selection and ensure electrical compatibility when multiple axes share a common power supply or when expansion slots are populated with specialized option cards.
