The Bosch Rexroth Indramat DMA 085B 3301-D from the DMA Servo Drive Modules series is a high-performance backplane module engineered for seamless integration with three-phase inverters. This Servodyn-D Series unit supports a regulation voltage of 670 VDC and provides a stable 400 V output voltage, while its 24 VDC current input of 1.35 A ensures reliable control logic power. Weighing 11.5 kg and measuring a maximum width of 100 mm, the module is optimized for cold module engineering and compact cabinet layouts. It is compatible with synchronous and asynchronous motors through direct DC-link or control cable connections.

Designed with redundancy and thermal management in mind, the DMA 085B incorporates dual RMB/DM type 2 fans and requires a regulated DC-link voltage of 670 VDC plus a non-regulated DC-link of 715 VDC. The module delivers over-load currents up to 86 Arms and continuous currents up to 64 Arms, with a rated current range of 22–47 Arms derated at 1.25 A/K. Its analog interface features a 12-bit encoder resolution and an integrated resolver interface, guaranteeing precise feedback for position and speed control. Engineered for durability, all electronics are mounted on a robust backplane with air-cooling backup mechanics.

For high-precision applications, the DMA 085B offers a 20-bit single-turn encoder resolution and a 32-bit multi-turn absolute encoder supporting 4 096 revolutions, plus an incremental encoder with factor 4 at 1 MHz. Sine and cosine interfaces deliver 50 kHz (factor 20) and 800 kHz (interpolation factor 4 096) signals, respectively. The module’s power withdrawal of 1.35 A and a maximum power loss of 380 W are managed by a closed-loop cooling water system operating between 10–40 °C, with a minimum flow of 5 ml/min, 5 bar pressure and pH 7.0–8.5.
