The DMA Servo Drive Module series is used in Servodyn-D systems as the modular inverter section for controlling motor axes in a shared drive package. Rather than operating as independent standalone drives, DMA modules are combined with supply modules and backplane hardware to form a common DC-link system for multi-axis motion control. The modules use IGBT power stages and can be matched to either brushless synchronous motors or asynchronous motors. Individual versions are selected around the required control interface and feedback arrangement, including SERCOS, analog setpoint control, resolver feedback, and gear encoder options. In the cabinet, each DMA module plugs into a matching backplane module that carries the DC-link connection and supports cold-module mounting for external heat removal through the cabinet plate. System expansion is supported through DC-link accessories that allow extended bus connections and multi-row layouts. Additional platform functions include automatic commissioning through electronic rating plate data and a redundant two-channel RSU safety structure for fault-tolerant safety integration.
