RZF Line Filters

RZF Line Filters are Bosch Rexroth radio-interference filters used on RD500 frequency converter installations to limit conducted noise on the mains side and help meet stricter EMC requirements for first-environment applications, including residential-area limits. The series is designed for 3-phase AC 380–480 V systems with ±10% tolerance and is sized to match RD500 converter power classes from 1.5 kW through 110 kW. Filter selection depends on converter rating, line current, and switching frequency, with published current values shown for 4 kHz, 10 kHz, and 12 kHz operation because allowable current decreases as pulse frequency rises. RZF units are built for IP20 protection without terminals, environmental class 3K3, and 0 to 40 °C ambient operation, with reliable performance dependent on proper EMC grounding, secure protective-earth connection, and correct cabinet installation before the system is energized.
