ADP 3-Phase Induction Motors

ADP 3-Phase Induction Motors are Bosch Rexroth Indramat squirrel-cage asynchronous motors built for main-drive and servo-axis duties in industrial machinery. The series relies on surface ventilation from a permanently attached fan assembly that runs independently of the drive controller and uses its own mains supply and motor-protection switch. Available across several frame sizes and type-code configurations, ADP motors reach rated power levels up to 37.7 kW and are used in applications such as machine tools, printing and paper-processing systems, packaging and food machinery, and forming equipment. Standard performance data is based on operation from 0 to +40 °C and installation altitudes up to 1000 m, while selected sealing and connection options allow protection up to IP65 at the shaft and power or feedback interfaces. The series is approved for use with POWERDRIVE control units and is commonly equipped with a 1 Vpp sinusoidal incremental encoder with 2048 lines for speed and position feedback. Type-code options also cover smooth or keyed shafts, shaft seals, and holding-brake provisions so the motor can be adapted to the mechanical and control requirements of the machine.
