The Bosch R911314978 (MHD112A-024-PP2-BN) is a synchronous motor that operates the speed in synchronization to the frequency of the input current. The drive controller provides the motor current, having the ability to adjust its output to control speed, torque, and position. The motor has an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder for feedback within multiple turns of the motor shaft. The system uses two cables; a power cable and a feedback cable for connectivity. The design of the motor housing permits natural convection or surface cooling. Performance specifications depend on the cooling method used. With natural convection, the continuous torque at standstill is 15 Nm (60K overheat) and 17 Nm (100K overheat). Surface cooling yields a continuous torque at standstill of 22.5 Nm (60/100K overheat). Moreover, this model includes an integrated holding brake with a torque rating of 32 Nm and a shaft with a keyway and sealing ring.
