The MST290B-0018-FT-N0SN-NNNN is a frameless synchronous torque motor segment produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MST Synchronous Torque Motors series. As a direct-drive rotary element, it delivers high continuous torque at low speed so machine builders can eliminate mechanical gear stages in indexing tables, printing cylinders, or extruders. By integrating the stator and rotor directly into the host structure, the unit reduces backlash and supports position control tasks that demand smooth motion in industrial automation.

Under nominal operating conditions this motor develops a continuous torque of 220.0 Nm while turning at a rated speed of 180 rpm; both values correspond to a shaft output of 4.10 kW. A phase current of 14.8 A is required to achieve those figures, and the copper windings present a resistance of 6.6 Ω at 20 °C that determines resistive losses. Inductive behavior is defined by a coil reactance of 34.8 mH, which influences current rise time during control commands. When the rotor is locked, the windings can accept 16.5 A and produce 245 Nm, allowing static load holding without external brakes. The stator terminals accept power conductors up to 1.5 mm², and the leakage capacitance of 8.4 nF must be considered when sizing RFI suppression components.
