SG Synchronous Servo Motors

Indramat SG Synchronous Servo Motors are brushless permanent-magnet motors developed for inverter-driven operation in Servodyn-G(C)16 servo systems.

The SG series uses rare-earth magnets in the rotor, along with an integrated resolver for rotor position and speed feedback. An NTC thermistor is built into the stator winding to support motor temperature monitoring during operation. These motors are designed for strong dynamic performance, using low rotor inertia to support fast response in demanding servo applications. Their sinusoidal motor EMF, brushless design, and direct heat dissipation help provide smooth operation, high load capacity, and reduced maintenance needs. Across the series, SG motors feature enclosed IP65 housings, insulation class F, and permanently lubricated prestressed bearings. Available configuration options include keyed shafts, holding brakes, flange-accuracy variants, and special shaft sealing designs for application-specific machine integration.
