Because the module is “feeded” (no intermediate rectifier), all drives share the same DC bus, so wiring must accommodate full 120 kW current plus good conductor sizing to reduce voltage drop. Also requires proper busbar or cable layout and possibly redundant paths for reliability in multi-axis systems.

IP20 guards against solid objects larger than 12 mm but offers no protection from water or fine dust, so the unit must be installed in clean, dry control cabinets and away from splash or wash-down zones. For harsher environments, additional enclosures or higher protection rated units will be required.

The HMV01.1E-W0120 is compact but still requires clearances for airflow and service (terminal access, blower area). Mounting position must obey specs regarding orientation (vertical/horizontal) and spacing from other heat sources to avoid hotspots — which can degrade performance.

With its capacitance on the DC link (per datasheets) and blower cooling, the unit can buffer moderate sudden load spikes with less voltage droop; however very fast, large transient currents may still lead to voltage dips. Designers need to check dynamic loading of motors and possibly add additional capacitive buffering or oversizing.

According to the instruction manual, there are signal terminals (e.g. UD_1, UD_2, WARN_1, WARN_2) to indicate DC bus voltage status, warnings, and errors, usable in higher level safety logic. These allow external monitoring, interlocking, or shutdown in case of overtemperature, overload, or other fault-conditions.
