TBM Bleeder Modules
Indramat TBM Bleeder Modules are auxiliary braking-energy modules used with TVM mains supply units to dissipate regenerated energy in drive systems. The TBM series adds extra bleeder capacity for applications where motor deceleration returns more energy than the base supply can handle alone. Each module provides 2.25 kW of continuous bleeder power, 50 kW of peak bleeder power, and a maximum regenerated energy capacity of 114 kWs. Control is handled through the TVM EB output, with the interface rated up to 425 V and 500 mA. To manage heat during braking operation, the module uses a separate 24 VDC blower supply with a current draw of 140 mA. The unit is built for cabinet mounting with approximate dimensions of 390 mm height, 208 mm width, and 105 mm depth. Proper installation requires open clearance around the module so generated braking heat can be released safely and the drive system can maintain reliable operation.
