DSC Servo Amplifiers

The DSC Servo Amplifiers series comprises four-quadrant, PWM brushless AC servo drives engineered for high-performance speed and position control with Indramat MAC three-phase permanent-magnet servomotors. The architecture separates a power-supply section from the amplifier module: the supply converts a 220 VAC three-phase input into an approximately 300 VDC bus, furnishes +24 VDC and ±15 VDC control rails, and uses a bleeder circuit to restrain regenerative bus voltage rise. Control is implemented with cascaded velocity and current loops, using tachometer feedback and rotor-position signals to command winding current, regulate speed and direction, and maintain proper commutation. Interfaces include differential and summing velocity commands, a controller-enable line, current-limit input, tachometer and motor-current outputs, brake control, and master-slave coordination. Internal supervision monitors control voltages, tachometer feedback, controller temperature, bridge-fuse status, overvoltage, DC bus condition, enable state, line power, drive-ready status, and commutation signals, with relay contacts and front-panel LEDs indicating operating state and faults.
