HMD Double Axis Drive Controllers

HMD Double Axis Drive Controllers are Bosch Rexroth Indramat IndraDrive power sections used to control two motor axes from a single drive controller. Each motor channel has its own power connection, with X5.1 and X5.2 used as the separate motor outputs for the two axes. The controller is connected into the larger IndraDrive system through the DC bus terminals L+ and L−, allowing it to share bus power with other drive controllers and related DC-link components. HMD units also require an external 24 VDC supply through the 24V and 0V terminals to power the drive electronics and support auxiliary functions. Motor holding-brake control is handled through the brake interface, while motor temperature monitoring is wired through the combined motor protection and brake connection area. This design allows both axis thermal feedback and brake actuation to be managed directly at the drive controller, supporting compact two-axis integration within an IndraDrive cabinet system.
