RZC Chemistry Modules

RZC Chemistry Modules are Bosch Rexroth RD500 accessory units that adapt standard RD500 AC drive converters for chemical and process-industry installations where NAMUR-style wiring, isolated signals, and explosion-protected motor monitoring may be required. Rather than operating as standalone converters, these modules install alongside RD500 size classes A, B, and C in a matching book-style housing, allowing cabinet rows to remain compact on the 22.5 mm modular grid without added spacing between units. The connection layout separates power wiring, signal terminals, and motor PTC thermistor wiring, with versions available either with a NAMUR terminal strip or without one for fieldbus-oriented system designs. Interface features include floating digital inputs and outputs, electrically isolated analog inputs and outputs, PELV-based separation, and a certified PTC thermistor tripping unit for explosion-protected motors. The series covers size codes 005 through 045 in 3-phase 400 V and 500 V classes, with model-dependent rated outputs from 4 kW to 37 kW, output frequencies up to 200 Hz, and standard ambient operation from 0 to 40 °C.
