MLS Synchronous Linear Motors

Bosch Rexroth Indramat MLS Synchronous Linear Motors are secondary components used in IndraDyn L linear motor systems for precise direct-drive linear motion.

The MLS series consists of permanent-magnet secondary segments that operate with MLP primary sections to form a complete linear motor arrangement. These secondary parts are available for use with both standard encapsulated and thermo-encapsulated primary versions, supporting different system configurations. Multiple sizes are offered, including MLS040, MLS070, MLS100, MLS140, MLS200, and MLS300, so the magnetic track can be matched to the required power range and machine layout. The segments mount along the outer edge with screws and include a protective cover sheet to help guard the magnets against corrosion, coolant exposure, oil, and physical damage. Segment length options include 150 mm, 450 mm, and 600 mm, giving machine builders flexibility when designing the active travel path.
